Requirements

Experience in grocery buying, retail purchasing, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
Experience with Catapult Point of Sale system is a plus.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, dependable, and customer-focused.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local producers and regional vendors.
Source high-quality local and specialty products while managing everyday grocery inventory.
Negotiate pricing, coordinate deliveries, and monitor product availability.
Analyze sales trends and customer demand to make informed purchasing decisions.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing waste.
Collaborate with store level management to plan seasonal promotions and showcase local products.
Ensure shelves are stocked with fresh, high-quality merchandise that meets our customers' expectations.
