About The Position

Plastic Ingenuity is seeking a Grinding/Scrap Processor for their 3rd shift operations. This role is responsible for the plant-wide scrap grinding operation in a climate-controlled environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, is adaptable and flexible, and can perform tasks requiring standing and walking. This position plays a critical role in plant production by processing scrap plastic generated during the manufacturing process.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
1 year of experience within the company or equivalent work experience.
Good understanding of plastic materials.
Good interpersonal and verbal communications skills.
Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs/Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs/More than 50 lbs requires a team lift
Frequent repetitious tasks with upper extremities
Prolonged periods of standing on concrete floor and bending at waist
Ability to correctly wear/use personal protective equipment including long sleeves as required
Work involves exposure to high temperatures
Attention to detail

Responsibilities

Grinding up scrap plastic produced during manufacturing process.
Coordinate with production and warehouse to maintain an orderly scrap grinding operation.
Maintain the proper identification of scrap and regrind.
Follows good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
Train team members in marking and grinding scrap properly.
Keep grinder area clean.
Ensure grinders are properly cleaned between materials.
Work with maintenance personnel to keep equipment operating properly.
Works as an inspector packer when requested by the Team Leader.
Operates forklift when needed (will require certification).
Performs other duties as required.
