About The Position

The Grinding Operator is responsible for setting up and operating necessary equipment to produce regrind that will meet or exceed customer expectations. This hourly, non-exempt position works a Monday-Friday, 1st shift schedule from 6 am to 2 pm.

Requirements

Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift.
High school diploma or GED required.
Able to work while standing for long periods (2 to 3 hours).
Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions and communicate the same.
Must work well with others.
Ability to learn and retain information on products, operating procedures, quality requirements, set-ups, etc.
Ability to work in areas with temperatures approaching 115 degrees.

Displays consistent desire to do more than is asked to help coordinate processes to get the job done.

Responsibilities

Start up all machinery and equipment online and make any adjustments necessary to obtain a high-quality Regrind.
Fill out daily shift reports, including logging all necessary production reporting data.
Follow all safety rules, report safety hazards, and maintain a clean work area.
Dump Regrind and transfer to proper silos.
Assist in the training of new trainees by sharing knowledge and information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
