About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Grinder to join our 1st shift team. You will be responsible for operating various grinding machines to achieve precise finishes on metal parts. Training will be provided for specific equipment.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and understand basic instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use measuring tools (training provided on vernier gauge).
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience operating grinding machinery is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operate belt grinding machines using rubber wheels and contact wheels.
- Perform lathe grinding operations utilizing rubber wheels.
- Utilize a vernier gauge to ensure parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
