About The Position

Menasha Corporation is seeking a Grinder Operator to join their team. This role is responsible for operating a grinder in a safe manner, filling in for operators as needed, and removing and replacing grinding wheels. The position requires working safely and efficiently, using all required personal protective equipment, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. The operator must also be able to select the appropriate tool for the job, which may include tools other than a grinder for tasks like weld splatter and cutting racks. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and contributing to team effort are also key aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate grinder; safely operate and maintain grinding equipment.
Fill in for operators as needed; floating position between the weld lines.
Remove and replace grinding wheels.
Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
Participates in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
Must be able to select the right tool for the job not always a grinder.
Required to use other tools other than a grinder (for weld splatter & cutting racks).
Maintain safe and clean work environment.
Contribute to team effort.
Other duties as assigned.
