We are seeking a Grinder Operator for the 2nd Shift to join our team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to convert to Standard/Metric systems
  • Experience with Machinists hand tools, measuring devices such as micrometer, indicator, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints, capable of working to close tolerances, and must have knowledge of speeds and feeds.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Must meet all physical job requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience running a lathe or grinder
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Perform housekeeping and 6S activities adhering to all OSHA and Innomotics safety and work practice policies.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications and Manufacturing Methods.
  • Measure and record dimensions using measuring equipment related to processes.
  • Follow appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Make all setups, wheels changes, dressing adjustments, including selection of wheel of proper bond, grit, face width, diameter, etc.
  • Set up machine, dress wheel, select feed and speed and make all adjustments including taper.
  • Monitor and care for coolant, etc.
  • Utilize machinists hand tools and measuring devices such as micrometer, indicator, etc.
  • Work independently with minimal direction from supervisor.
  • Perform material handling, and other assigned tasks (hand truck, crane).
  • Adhere to all safe work practices and plant rules of conduct.
  • Adhere to all outlined section and operational processes and procedures.
  • Notify supervisor of quality, process and/or safety issues and concerns.
  • Ability to perform job duties of Rotor Maker A classification.
