About The Position

Milacron is looking for a 3rd shift Grinder to join our team in McPherson, KS. As a Grinder you will be responsible for setting up and operating a Grinder machine to blueprint specifications, selecting and changing grinding wheels, monitoring machine performance and performing preventative maintenance, ensuring fluid levels are maintained, monitoring inventory levels, and using precision measuring tools.

Requirements

• Basic math skills required, advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.
• 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Technical school w/certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify correct product using job traveler.
• Set-up and operate a Grinder machine to blueprint specifications.
• Select and change Grinding wheel to achieve appropriate finish for screws.
• Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production.
• Monitor and ensure all fluid levels are maintained on all equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor.
• Must use precision measuring tools specific to job.
