About The Position

The Grind & Pack Operator Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the grinding and packaging operations within a manufacturing environment. This position ensures that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The lead operator is responsible for guiding and supporting a team of operators, facilitating smooth workflow, and troubleshooting operational issues as they arise. They act as a liaison between management and production staff to implement process improvements and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in grinding and packaging operations.
• Proven leadership experience or supervisory role in a production setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and safety guidelines.
• Leadership and communication skills are essential for guiding the team, providing training, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are used to maintain accurate production records and uphold quality standards.

• Certification in manufacturing or production-related training programs.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of grind and pack operators to meet daily production goals and quality standards.
• Monitor grinding and packaging equipment to ensure proper operation and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Train new operators on equipment use, safety protocols, and company procedures to ensure consistent performance.
• Coordinate workflow and communicate effectively with other departments to optimize production schedules.
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Document production data, equipment status, and any incidents accurately for reporting and continuous improvement.
