Requirements

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill Canada
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 60 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work overtime, weekends, different shifts, and holidays with advance notice
Basic computer skills
Must be able to operate machinery

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a production related work
Basic food safety knowledge
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience operating mobile equipment, like forklift and pallet truck

Responsibilities

Arranging frozen patties in boxes at the end of the line at a fast pace
Constant checks on quality of the patties while arranging the patties in the boxes
Maintain the number of patties at closer to the net weight of the finished box weight
Pay attention to the Robot cell infeed after labeling
Follow the rollover procedure to reduce ergonomic risks associate with repetitive motion
Keep areas clean and free of slip hazards
Inspects patties and meat for foreign objects
Set up operation and tear down of a variety of processing equipment including grinders and patty forming equipment
Handles and inspects frozen boxes of meat in preparation for processing. Handles and loads frozen boxes of meat into grinder
Handles finished boxes of product by building pallets of product to pre-determined specifications
Moves pallets of product using various material handling equipment which could include pallet truck or forklift, only certified operators
Understand and adhere to all Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety
Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved assistance plant personnel as needed, and perform other duties as requested by the leadership team
