About The Position

Mama Margie’s is seeking individuals for their Grill or Tortilla positions. These roles are crucial for preparing high-quality fajitas and tortillas, two of the restaurant's signature items. The Grill Position involves grilling and cutting fajitas and asada meat, and assisting with other items like quesadillas, eggs, pancakes, corn tortillas, and frying chips and shells. The Tortilla Position focuses on preparing flour and corn tortilla dough, cooking tortillas on a flat top grill, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Both positions require teamwork, training new members, and assisting in other areas as needed. This is a fast-paced environment that requires weekend and holiday availability. Employees must be dependable and contribute to a clean and friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

• Ability to tolerate heat from working the grill
• Dependability
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours
• Ability to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and continuous use of fingers and wrists

Responsibilities

• Grilling and cutting fajitas and asada meat
• Assisting line servers with non-grill items such as quesadillas, eggs, pancakes, corn tortillas, and frying chips and shells
• Preparing flour and corn tortilla dough according to Mama Margie Recipes
• Cooking tortillas on a flat top grill
• Following all health and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean work area
• Working as a team with other team members
• Training new team members
• Assisting in other positions as needed
