About The Position
The Grill Master at Genghis Grill is responsible for preparing and cooking guests’ customized stir-fry bowls on the signature flat-top grill while delivering an energetic, interactive dining experience. This role requires strong cooking skills, attention to food safety, and the ability to engage with guests while maintaining speed and accuracy during high-volume service.
Requirements
- Ability to cook multiple orders simultaneously on a flat-top grill
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Previous grill, line cook, or stir-fry cooking experience
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant or interactive cooking environment
- Food handler certification (if required by local regulations)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook guest stir-fry bowls on the large flat-top grill according to Genghis Grill standards
- Accurately read guest bowl selections and cook ingredients to proper temperature and consistency
- Interact with guests in a friendly and entertaining manner while cooking
- Maintain a clean and organized grill station throughout the shift
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Monitor food quality and ensure proper portion control
- Restock grill station ingredients and supplies as needed
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality and consistency
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
