Full-time & Part-time grill cook positions are now being filled at our IGC Cafe in the Indiana Government Center. Shifts available Monday - Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (shifts vary). Closed Weekends & Holidays! The Grill cook is responsible for preparing food and serving customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided. The Grill cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. The Grill cook must be prepared to work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety and sanitation procedures, follow food storage procedures, and have an excellent knowledge of customer service. Requirements

Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards.
Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling is required.
Effective communication skills.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Attention to detail in all areas of work.
Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
Has the ability to deal with changes.

Responsibilities

Preparing food and serving customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Maintaining organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
Working as a team member in a dynamic workplace.
Following all safety and sanitation procedures.
Following food storage procedures.
Setting up station according to cafe guidelines.
Preparing all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
Following portion control and presentation specifications.
Restocking all items as needed throughout the shift.
Cleaning and maintaining station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
Properly using and maintaining all equipment in the station.
Assisting with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
Preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance.
Ensuring quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping the floors, cleaning surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures.
Working at an efficient and consistent pace.
Performing other duties necessary for the operation of the restaurant.
