About The Position

As Grill Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for executing precise and consistent grilling of meats, fish, and vegetables. You'll be working with premium cuts and supporting the team in maintaining the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation. This is a hands-on, high-responsibility position on the hot line, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for open flame cooking.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience on the grill or in a similar Chef de Partie role, preferably in a steakhouse or high-volume kitchen
  • Deep knowledge of meat cuts, doneness temperatures, and grill technique
  • Ability to maintain calm, accuracy, and speed under pressure
  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail
  • A commitment to kitchen cleanliness and professional kitchen etiquette
  • Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

  • Execute grill station with precision during high-volume service
  • Cook meats to exact temperatures and guest preferences
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and timing of all grill items
  • Maintain proper grill setup, cleanliness, and organization
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen brigade to ensure smooth service
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with prep and mise en place for the station
  • Communicate with expeditor and other stations to coordinate orders
