Greyspace Capacity Analyst

FluidstackAustin, TX
$143,000 - $173,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI and is looking for individuals who care deeply about this problem space. The company is singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. This involves acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are key differentiators. The role involves modeling greyspace capacity across sites, tracking allocation against design as builds evolve, building source-of-truth views for design, delivery, and operations, and analyzing trade-offs when programs compete for space or capacity headroom.

Requirements

  • Experience in capacity or space planning for data centers, industrial plants, or utilities.
  • Comfortable working with drawings and single-lines as well as spreadsheets.
  • Experience building capacity models that caught a real constraint early.
  • Ability to keep a source of truth current across many concurrent changes.
  • Ability to present a constraint with options attached.

Nice To Haves

  • DCIM tools
  • Electrical and mechanical fundamentals
  • SQL and BI tooling
  • Multi-site portfolios

Responsibilities

  • Model greyspace capacity across sites: the electrical, mechanical, and support space budgets behind every megawatt of whitespace.
  • Track allocation against design as builds evolve, catching where greyspace runs out before power does.
  • Build the source-of-truth views that design, delivery, and operations use to answer whether it fits.
  • Analyze trade-offs when programs compete for the same square footage or capacity headroom.

Benefits

  • Pay equity and transparency
