About The Position

The Greeter acts as a receptionist at the entrance desks and promotes a customer service focus at all times while greeting our customers. The Greeter will evaluate the location within the hospital or facility that the customer will be visiting, and will provide a visitor badge for the customer to wear while on campus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Providing accurate instructions and directions and escorting as appropriate within our policies.
  • Appropriately vetting visitor destination within the hospital and providing visitor badging.
  • Referring visitor issues to security for de-escalation and resolving issues, working toward full resolution for all our customers.
  • Greets and assists visitors in a professional helpful manner and arrange for volunteers to escort visitors when needed.
  • Screening and greeting people arriving at our entry doors, and directing them as appropriate.
  • Able to use and understand the computer and the various computer programs for patient tracking.
  • Logging adult patient visitors, providing all visitors with a badge according to policy.
  • Communicating with Security, Volunteers, and Spiritual Care teams in order to best serve our customers.
  • Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
  • Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
  • Completes annual mandatory education, age-related and competency assessment modules in the specified time frame (minimum 20 hours annually for RNs).
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient or employee records and information and follows hospital and department policies and procedures.
  • If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
  • Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
  • Maintains required Certifications/Licensures/Registrations (document expiration dates).
