This role is for a Greeter / To-Go Specialist at a restaurant that has been in business since 1933, starting as a humble sandwich cart in Pittsburgh. Requirements

  • Ability to write and read the English language.
  • Good communication skills, friendly, and people oriented.
  • Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, able to multitask.
  • Possess basic math skills.
  • Able to operate POS system for transactions.
  • Stands 100% of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping.
  • Able to deliver food, beverages, and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Make a great first impression on guests and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of the restaurant.
  • Create a welcoming experience for guests at the door and on the phone.
  • Provide fast service and great hospitality for To-Go guests.
  • Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean, and professional image.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to each guest, opening the door whenever possible.
  • Answer the phone with the correct greeting and within 3 rings.
  • Handle take-out and call-in orders, ring orders, and package them in appropriate containers.
  • Educate guests on retail items and keep the greeting station and retail areas well stocked.
  • Ensure an exceptional To-Go experience, which may include delivering food to guests in the parking lot.
  • Seat guests immediately in a comfortable table or booth, following the Floor Chart.
  • Use a wait management system to manage the flow of the restaurant during waits.
  • Attend to guests with small children, providing a Kid’s Pack, highchair, sling, or booster as needed, or addressing specific requests to make them more comfortable.
  • Check restrooms for cleanliness and supplies every 20 minutes.
  • Possess proficient knowledge of the menu.
  • Run food from the Expo area and pre-bus tables as needed.
  • Bus and clean tables and booths as needed.
  • Communicate guest questions or concerns to Coaches as appropriate.
  • Balance cash drawer as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures throughout the shift.
  • Complete opening, shift change, and closing checklists, as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
  • Perform other duties as needed per Coach request.
