South Shore Golf Course, located in Chicago, IL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Requirements

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas
• Waters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes, and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager
