GREENSKEEPER PT-TPC of Myrtle Beach
About The Position
TPC of Myrtle Beach is seeking two part-time Greenskeepers. One position will cover shifts on Sunday (6am-10am), Monday (6am-11am), Wednesday (6am-11am), and Friday (6am-11am). The second position will cover shifts on Sunday (6am-10am), Monday (6am-11am), Tuesday (6am-11am), and Wednesday (6am-11am). This role involves maintaining all aspects of the property grounds, including bunkers, tees, collars, approaches, fairways, rough, and greens. Responsibilities also include blowing clippings and debris, setting up the golf course for daily play, spreading pine straw and mulch, and spraying weeds. The ideal candidate will promote a positive working environment, work well with others in a team, and have a positive attitude. Tasks must be performed within an acceptable time frame. A minimum of 10 hours per week is required, including weekends.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have working knowledge of all golf course specific operations.
- Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind).
- Must be able to walk a minimum of five miles daily.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
- Must be willing to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all aspects of property grounds.
- Maintain bunkers, mow tees, collars, approaches, fairways, rough, greens (walking or riding greens mower only).
- Blow clippings and debris.
- Set up golf course for daily play.
- Spread pine straw and mulch, spray weeds.
- Promote a positive working environment and relationship with all team members in all departments and divisions.
- Perform tasks in an acceptable time frame.
- Work well with others in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
- Work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 10 hours per week, including weekends.
- Use designated tools and/or equipment as directed by supervisor, using strict safety rules and guidelines.
- Actively demonstrate, encourage, and model safety rules and guidelines in accordance with state and federal law, using personal protective equipment as required.
- Report safety or hazard concerns to management immediately.
- Report any work-related injury to management immediately.
- Take personal responsibility for safety every day.
