NRDC’s Green Finance & Economic Development Department seeks a graduate intern to support international finance advocacy and global green bank projects and initiatives. The intern reports to the Green Finance Advocate and works from NRDC’s Washington, D.C. office under a hybrid model, with onsite attendance expected three days per week. During the 10-week summer internship, the intern will develop resources and case studies related to green institutional development, culminating in a capstone project. They will also support the department and its partners in providing technical assistance to emerging green banks in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs), including by preparing presentations and memos. Additional work may include planning international engagements and events and producing materials that support NRDC’s green finance advocacy efforts. The internship requires a 35-hour weekly commitment in one of two summer sessions: May 24–July 30, 2027, or June 7–August 13, 2027. It is paid with a $10,000 stipend distributed biweekly. Relocation assistance is not available. The posting states the intern will not qualify as an NRDC employee, fellow, volunteer, or independent contractor, and employment after the internship is not guaranteed.
