About The Position

General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-year Industrial related maintenance experience.
  • Technical certifications.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
  • Ability to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Must be able to use math as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for 12 hours.
  • Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
