About The Position

The Grease Route Driver is responsible for the operation of a grease collection truck to collect cooking oil while providing quality service to our customers. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness of containers, maintaining company vehicles, adhering to safety regulations, and fostering positive customer relations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age with clean MVR.
Minimum of 1 years of experience operating similar vehicle to grease route truck.
Current class A CDL holder with tanker endorsements.
Must register on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov
Must accept Darling Ingredient's Drug and Alcohol Request on Clearinghouse website.
Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
Works well with others in a team environment.
Dependable; reliable.
Good math and communication skills.
Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; return container with screen and lock secured.
Note any damages to container or corral area.
Properly complete route ticket with customer signature.
Responsible for established route as assigned.
Responsible for company vehicle; keep vehicle in clean condition.
Conduct all safety checks and inspections of vehicle.
Operate vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Observe all company safety rules.
Attend all safety meetings.
Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
Complete all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc).
Maintain and update vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
