GRC Cloud Security Analyst

Shein•Los Angeles, CA

About The Position

The GRC Cloud Security Analyst (official title: Staff GRC Assurance Analyst I) resides within SHEIN Global Security, which oversees security infrastructure, risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance across the company’s global footprint. The role leads cloud security compliance audits, control evaluations, and risk assessments across AWS and Azure environments. It assesses cloud security controls against company policies aligned with industry frameworks and standards, providing independent, risk-based assurance over cloud-native and internally developed controls. The analyst improves the quality and consistency of audit evidence, identifies meaningful control weaknesses, and helps engineering and security teams implement sustainable, auditable solutions. The role works with engineering, operations, and internal and external partners to identify, articulate, prioritize, manage, and monitor security risks to SHEIN data, services, and information assets.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity GRC, technology risk, IT audit, security assurance, or a related discipline, with meaningful experience assessing cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute audits or control assessments, including scoping, walkthroughs, evidence review, testing, issue documentation, and remediation validation.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS and Azure security concepts, including identity and privileged access management; network security and segmentation; encryption and key management; logging, monitoring, and incident detection; asset and configuration management; vulnerability and patch management; data protection and retention; and backup, recovery, and resilience.
  • Experience applying or assessing controls against ISO 27001/27017, CSA CCM, CIS Controls, and cloud-provider CIS Benchmarks.
  • Experience evaluating the integrity and reliability of internally generated security or compliance data.
  • Ability to assess control effectiveness based on risk and control objectives rather than relying solely on vendor certifications, product features, or checklist-based compliance.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business-risk statements and actionable recommendations.
  • High personal integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters professionally with appropriate judgment and maturity.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as CCSP, CCSK, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, AWS Certified Security, or Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate.

Responsibilities

  • Assess compliance with company policies and control requirements aligned with security industry control frameworks and standards.
  • Review cloud security evidence, including architecture diagrams, configurations, logs, access records, tickets, approvals, monitoring outputs, source documentation, and system-generated reports.
  • Assess the completeness, accuracy, reliability, and auditability of data produced by internal systems.
  • Identify control gaps, determine their risk severity, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to technical teams, control owners, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering and IT teams to develop and track remediation plans, validate corrective actions, and support formal risk acceptance or exception processes.
  • Advise control owners on control design, evidence retention, testing procedures, and sustainable remediation.
  • Contribute to continuous compliance monitoring and opportunities to automate control testing and evidence collection.
