About The Position

The Gravel Truck Driver is a safety-sensitive position responsible for operating a truck to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to job sites. The driver also works in the yard to stockpile and move materials as needed and maintains equipment daily. The role requires safe and efficient equipment operation, daily inspections and housekeeping, and compliance with company safety policies and applicable M.S.H.A. and OSHA regulations. The position is based in Billings. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is payable following 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, understand, and write in English.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver License; Class A is preferred, and the driver must maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be able to enter and deliver material into the refinery.
• Willingness to work in a team environment.
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings, including a DOT physical, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report.
• Compliance with all OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 lb. on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of related tractor/trailer driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Class A Commercial Driver License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job sites.
• Work in the yard to stockpile and move materials as needed.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report necessary maintenance.
• Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment before startup.
• Maintain equipment and perform general housekeeping of equipment and yards daily or as directed by the supervisor.
• Use a shovel to move material when necessary.
• Perform all duties within safety guidelines established by M.S.H.A. and company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
