About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Gravel Pit Weight Scale Operator to support site operations and ensure efficient material movement. In this role, you will operate the scale system, process haul tickets, record load information, and assist with daily administrative tasks related to aggregate production and trucking activities. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team, which focuses on designing and delivering critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant work experience.
Good general office and record-keeping skills are required.
A demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding skills, as well as a working knowledge of MS Windows and related word processing and spreadsheet software, is required.
Ability to work in a construction or gravel pit environment is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with data entry, ticket processing, and basic reporting is an asset.

Responsibilities

Operate the gravel pit scale and record inbound and outbound truck weights.
Issue, collect, and verify haul tickets and related shipping documentation.
Enter load, truck, supplier, and customer information into tracking systems and spreadsheets.
Maintain accurate daily records of material quantities, deliveries, and truck movements.
Communicate with drivers, site supervisors, and dispatch personnel regarding scale operations and site access.
Prepare general correspondence and maintain organized files and records.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
