About The Position
Performs outdoor grounds maintenance for the City of Wheeling, ensuring safe and well-maintained public spaces.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
- Able to perform physical tasks outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Mow and maintain grass in city-owned areas.
- Operate and maintain grounds equipment, including cleaning, greasing, and washing; report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all work zone safety procedures.
