About The Position

The Graphics and Production Strategist supports the Proposal Strategy and Development team by developing high-quality, compliant, and brand-aligned visual materials for Medicaid, Medicare, and other government program proposals. This role translates complex healthcare, clinical, operational, population health, quality, and health equity concepts into clear graphics, layouts, and production elements that strengthen proposal storytelling, reinforce win themes, and improve evaluator understanding. The position partners with proposal managers, writers, subject matter experts, graphics and production leads, and business stakeholders throughout the proposal lifecycle to ensure visuals and page layouts align with RFP requirements, corporate standards, and overall proposal strategy. In addition to creating graphics and supporting document production, this role helps manage design workflows, maintain reusable templates and visual assets, support final submission activities, and recommend improvements that increase consistency, efficiency, accessibility, and visual impact across proposal deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3 or more years of professional graphic design, visual communication, proposal production, or related experience, preferably supporting healthcare, managed care, government contracting, Medicaid/Medicare, or complex B2B proposals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat; proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and screen capture or collaboration tools.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling, information design, layout, typography, color theory, brand consistency, and the ability to simplify complex healthcare or technical information.
  • Knowledge of proposal lifecycle practices, government RFP requirements, compliance-driven document production, and color team review processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, maintain accuracy, and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to receive feedback and apply revisions efficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of graphic design or proposal production experience, including experience with healthcare proposals, government RFPs, managed care, Medicaid/Medicare programs, or regulated communications.
  • Understanding of healthcare, managed care, Medicaid/Medicare services, population health, clinical programs, quality improvement, health equity, and member/provider communications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality graphics for Medicaid, Medicare, and other government RFP responses, including process flows, organizational charts, timelines, infographics, conceptual models, callout boxes, and data visuals.
  • Translate technical, operational, clinical, and population health content into clear visual representations that support proposal strategy, compliance, and evaluator comprehension.
  • Develop and refine visual concepts, layouts, and templates that communicate managed care solutions, quality initiatives, health equity strategies, and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with proposal managers, content leads, writers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to understand strategy, win themes, differentiators, and evaluation criteria.
  • Ensure graphics, page layouts, and production elements reinforce the proposal narrative, highlight value propositions, and align with RFP requirements and corporate standards.
  • Participate in proposal reviews and incorporate feedback to improve clarity, visual flow, persuasiveness, and compliance.
  • Format and lay out proposal documents, sections, presentations, and related deliverables using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Acrobat, and other design or production tools.
  • Integrate graphics, tables, callouts, and visual elements into narrative content to create polished, reviewer-friendly documents.
  • Support final production activities, including compliant response files, presentation materials, quality checks, and submission-ready deliverables.
  • Manage multiple graphics and production assignments with competing deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven proposal environment.
  • Support workback schedules, production priorities, dependencies, and milestones across concurrent proposals, escalating risks and recommending solutions as needed.
  • Maintain organized project files, SharePoint resources, templates, and design assets to support efficient collaboration and version control.
  • Maintain and improve reusable graphic templates, icons, visual elements, style guides, and production resources tailored to government healthcare proposals.
  • Apply brand, accessibility, readability, and quality standards to visual materials, including appropriate use of typography, color, contrast, layout, and plain-language visual design.
  • Monitor industry and competitor proposal approaches, when available, and recommend enhancements to improve consistency, efficiency, differentiation, and visual impact.
