About The Position

The Graphic Production Assistant will assist in the design/production of corporate advertising materials as assigned. Assists with the installation and/or removal of graphic signage and promotional materials throughout the casino.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Advertising, English, Communication or related area preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years related experience in professional advertising environment.
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proofreading skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of managing, motivating and improving the creative product.
  • Must be able to think creatively with an ability to write in an interesting and engaging style that has clear, concise and compelling copy.
  • Knowledgeable in advertising and/or direct marketing copy and business fundamentals. Understands how copy impacts layout and design.
  • Ability to assess needs of projects quickly and efficiently and produce effective copy to meet these needs.
  • Ability to proactively champion and deal with change.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Access.
  • Detail-oriented with superior time management skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively and produce material on time as specified in a fast paced high output environment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the production of advertising materials.
  • Installs, moves, restocks gaming related graphic signage and promotional materials throughout the casino.
  • Organizes the stockroom, inventories materials on hand, and orders additional materials as needed.
  • Performs entry level graphic production work, such as taking photographs for production pieces and performing laminating, mounting, cutting (exacto knife and roller cutter) and other handwork of graphic materials.
  • Determines and provides input to production schedule and monitors creative development progress.
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings to communicate progress and problems.
  • Stays informed of trends and innovative techniques in order to be competitive in the multimedia design environment.
  • Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Does not provide supervision to others.
