About The Position

Medtronic Neuroscience is focused on transforming care for patients with neurological, spinal, and chronic pain conditions. Through meaningful innovation and strong clinical partnerships, we help clinicians deliver therapies that improve lives and expand what is possible in-patient care. Medtronic Neurovascular advances care for patients experiencing stroke and complex cerebrovascular conditions. Our minimally invasive technologies help clinicians restore blood flow, treat vascular disease, and improve outcomes when time matters most. The Sr. Graphic Designer will serve as the dedicated creative resource for the Social and Digital team within Integrated Marketing. This role translates marketing strategies and complex ideas into compelling visual communications across print, digital, social, web, events, sales enablement and other customer-facing channels. Working with marketing and cross-functional partners, the designer will develop creative concepts, recommend approaches and deliver cohesive, production-ready designs from concept through execution. The ideal candidate brings expertise in visual storytelling, typography, layout and brand design. At Medtronic, we act boldly to put patients first. This role requires a minimum of four days onsite each week to support professional growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience in graphic design or equivalent experience (OR Associate's Degree with 6+ years experience OR Baccalaureate Degree with 4+ years experience).
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
  • The employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
  • The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
  • Candidates below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Conceives, designs and executes compelling visual communications across traditional and digital media, including print, web, social media, events, sales enablement and other customer-facing channels.
  • Proactively brings forward creative concepts and recommendations, identifying opportunities to elevate the work beyond the initial request.
  • Develops fresh, differentiated creative approaches while working effectively within brand, regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Translates marketing strategies and complex ideas into cohesive visual experiences that effectively extend across print, web, social, events and other customer touchpoints.
  • Collaborates closely with marketing, social, digital, video, motion graphics and other partners to understand objectives and develop creative solutions that support the broader strategy.
  • Applies strong knowledge of typography, layout, imagery and production requirements, preparing accurate, production-ready files for traditional and digital media and partnering with vendors as needed.
