About The Position

The Campaign Finance Board (CFB) is a nonpartisan, independent city agency dedicated to empowering New Yorkers in their elections. The CFB aims to make local democracy more open, transparent, and equitable by reducing participation barriers. They facilitate voter engagement, support candidates, and enable individuals to run for office. Key initiatives include NYC Votes for voter engagement, the Voter Guide for candidate information, a public matching funds program for small contributions, and promoting transparency in campaign finance. The CFB believes that empowering New Yorkers leads to better representation, increased accountability, and a more trustworthy democracy. The Public Affairs Division focuses on engaging New Yorkers, informing them about elections, and increasing their participation in the democratic process. This division strives to make election information accessible and relevant, enhance engagement with underrepresented communities, and foster a team environment that embodies purpose, curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. It comprises Marketing and Digital Communications, Partnerships and Outreach, Language Access, and Public Relations. The division is responsible for the citywide Voter Guide, the official citywide Debates Program, and the NYC Votes voter engagement initiative.
