About The Position

Hightower is a wealth management firm founded in 2008, offering investment, financial, and retirement planning services. They also provide 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Hightower supports its community of independent wealth advisors with capital solutions, operational support, and scale, enabling them to grow their businesses and achieve client financial goals. The firm is based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S. and operates as a registered investment advisor (RIA). As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for executing design projects for nearly 150 advisor practices and corporate stakeholders. You will collaborate with the marketing team, advisor businesses, and corporate stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in UI/UX design principles. This role reports directly to the Manager of Brand and Design and requires the ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ year of experience as a Graphic Designer or a similar role, showcasing a portfolio of previous design projects
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Figma and Canva
  • Understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques
  • Excellent creativity and ability to develop visually compelling designs
  • Able to work well under time pressure
  • Knowledge of current design trends, new technologies, and best practices in graphic design.
  • Familiarity with web design principles and basic HTML/CSS knowledge
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in UI/UX design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design and revise a wide variety of design projects, ranging from presentations, social graphics, stationery, brochures, requests for proposals, print/digital ads, email assets, websites, and more, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
  • Develop presentations and social media templates that can be shared with and updated by advisors.
  • Ensure that all designs are aligned with the related visual guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring easy accessibility and efficient workflow for design files.
  • Design and create graphic elements, including logos, icons, and illustrations, as needed, maintaining an internal database of design files.
  • Work closely with printers and other external vendors to ensure the successful production and delivery of printed materials.
