About The Position

Protect Life Michigan is looking for a hardworking, innovative, and vision-driven individual to become an integral member of our Marketing Team. This individual will assist the Director of Marketing with branding and language in marketing materials, as well as grow our presence online. The main focus will be graphic design for event marketing, special projects, and website updates. We are open to both part time and full time applicants for this role. This role requires the candidate to support raise their salary and ministry expenses. Salary and benefits are determined by the needs of the individual, commensurate with education and experience. Protect Life Michigan is a support-raising organization. The salary and all expenses associated with this position will be fundraised by the candidate. Protect Life Michigan will provide training and coaching in order to help the candidate reach full support and will pay the candidate while they raise support. We have an excellent track record of helping job candidates reach full support: 85% of our candidates have reached full support within 2-3 months. You will complete support raising prep work over the first 1-3 weeks, then you will attend a support raising bootcamp around week 4 of your employment with PLM. Subsequently, you will spend the next 6-13 weeks support raising before beginning your job duties. All applicants must be supportive of this approach and open to engaging in it.

Requirements

Commitment to the pro-life movement and the mission of Protect Life Michigan.
Ability to commit to the position for at least one year.
Excellent graphic design skills and a creative eye.
Positive view of support-raising and/or fundraising.
Proficient in professional and creative writing.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively.
Flexible work schedule, and the ability to occasionally work nights/weekends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Canva, Mailchimp, popular social media platforms, graphic design, and Adobe Publisher (preferred).
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and productively.

Responsibilities

Support the Director of Marketing through the development and execution of consistent branding for Protect Life Michigan posts, emails, brochures, handouts, website, and event branding in language and appearance
Ensure brand identity and message consistency across channels
Assist the Social Media Manager in designing social media posts, captions, and/or video creation/editing
Research relevant media trends and apply them to Protect Life Michigan's marketing content and strategy
Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement and Executive Director to design the Annual Report each spring
Assist the Director of Marketing with regular event marketing design projects for events such as the Life Advocate Intensive, March for Life, Summer Internship Program, and Student Celebration.
