About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall design and illustrative/graphics/visuals, taking a marketing idea from concept to execution in varied mediums spanning email, digital publishing, print and video. This position supports vendor partner lines and the overall Almo ProAV business. Senior Designer will get involved in broader projects and events, have more responsibility to make decisions on behalf of department and employ additional resources to get work product accomplished.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • HTML/CSS & Responsive Design Concepts & Frameworks
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems
  • Understanding of Social Media platforms and posting
  • Video production experience: shooting, editing, motion graphics

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of experience as a visual designer; 5-7 years of related experience for Senior level
  • Ability to solve problems visually
  • Understanding of how design can influence and persuade
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to attend to many projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to embrace challenges and change with a smile and positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Schedule projects and define budget constraints
  • Create concept, develop layout and product design based on requirements for the following: Email promotions, newsletters and templates, Digital publications, Design and Trade show signage and graphics, Sell sheets and white papers
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Work with Creative Director to produce final design
  • Test graphics across various media
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Collaborate with other members of the Marketing Department and Business Development to bring programs and concepts from idea to distribution
  • Research and experiment with emerging technologies related to visual and interaction design
  • Responsible for leading creative intake/research sessions with various stakeholders and art direction on associated projects.
  • Will enforce and uphold brand standards both inhouse and in public domain.
  • Oversees completion of work across assigned business unit(s)
