About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marketing and Communications team for Capital One Commercial Bank to lead our internal creative strategy. To lead the strategy and production of all internal creative assets, this position requires excellent stakeholder management, exceptional judgment, and a sustained focus on delivering results. As a Senior Associate on the Capital One Commercial Bank Marketing and Communications team, you will develop all creative assets supporting strategic communications programs for Commercial Bank lines of business leaders and internal events. This role will sit among strategists, communicators, event planners, channel leads, and other designers on the Marketing and Communications team. In this role, you will apply a fresh eye to visual storytelling, branding and design efforts. Your innovative thinking and technical expertise will support business priorities; you will provide creative counsel on all environmental design production and manage two external design agencies.

  • You are proficient in software programs: LumApps CMS, Adobe After Effects/Animate, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, LucidChart

  • Candidates must provide a portfolio of their creative work for consideration
  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of professional graphic design experience
  • At least 3 years experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat), Figma and Mac systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute high-quality communication designs — including document layout, presentations, logos/identities, spot illustration, infographics, photo editing, and emails.
  • Own the internal brand – developing and maintaining a cohesive visual language for all internal communications, while ensuring it aligns with the Capital One brand, and serving as a subject matter expert and consultative partner to various departments on internal branding and design
  • Lead event branding and environmental designs for internal events
  • Apply strategic rationale to design aesthetic, contributing to the development of new creative strategies and asset production pipelines
  • Ensure all materials meet brand guidelines, quality standards and maintain Capital One’s brand voice.
  • Manage two external agencies and all work produced meets Commercial and Capital One’s brand guidelines and quality standards
  • Own project workflow, manage timelines and produce error-free work under deadlines, incorporating client and legal feedback and adhering to established project filing and issues management protocols.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, and attend project briefings, pitch and reviews.
  • Maintain a general understanding of communication & internal event strategies.
