About The Position

This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension, paying $70-$80/hr on W2. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite in New York, NY, and 2 days remote. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, capable of working independently from concept through final production, and has experience in the beauty or fashion industry, with salon business experience being a plus. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Premiere is essential. Strong branding and retail experience are highly valued. The candidate must be a real-time communicator, able to identify problems proactively, and adept at both giving and receiving feedback. Experience with PowerPoint is required, and the ability to animate graphics is a significant advantage. Flexibility is key, as project scope will vary widely based on the candidate's competencies. The role requires strong production savvy.

Requirements

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Branding experience
Retail experience
Strong portfolio
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of graphic and package design
At least 10 years of working experience
Experience as a Sr. Designer (not Art Director)

Responsibilities

Provide graphic design support for product lines, websites, and materials.
Create packing layouts from concept to final production, including mechanicals and comps.
Produce promotional materials.
Understand the 2D and 3D design process.
Write copy to support advertising and promotional programs.
Collaborate with the Art Director and Creative team to develop copy, product names, and taglines.
Work independently or within a team.
