About The Position

The Graphic Designer II will be responsible for developing communication plans and creating a wide range of written content, including speeches, feature articles, presentations, press releases, and internal/external communications. This role also involves managing content for public/internal websites and social media platforms, producing and editing multimedia products (video, photography, graphic design), and tracking web/social media analytics. Additionally, the position requires full lifecycle management for approximately 40 annual national/international exhibits and events, including strategic planning, logistics, budget management, and preparing approval packages. General administrative, media relations, and outreach support, as well as archival research and transcription services for historical products, are also key components of this role.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic or visual arts/communications from an accredited institution and at least seven (7) years of experience in graphic design and/or related communications field.
  • Experience with Adobe Cloud Creative Suite.
  • Experience in gathering information and materials, planning concepts by studying information and materials, managing workflow and scheduling.
  • Experience in illustrating concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts, obtaining approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval, preparing finished copy and art for typesetting and printing.
  • Ability to prepare final layouts by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
  • Experience completing projects that require coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
