About The Position

The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) is looking for a talented, creative, and collaborative Graphic Designer II to help bring our brand, programs, and initiatives to life through compelling print and digital design. As part of an innovative communications team, you'll create impactful visual content that supports one of the nation's leading journalism and communications colleges. From designing high-profile publications and event materials to creating dynamic social media campaigns and digital experiences, you'll play an important role in showcasing the achievements of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

Requirements

  • Has strong experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Possesses an exceptional eye for design, typography, and visual storytelling
  • Is highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Enjoys collaborating with a variety of clients and stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and works independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Is a creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced setting
  • Communicates effectively and provides excellent customer service
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design print materials including brochures, annual reports, flyers, signage, banners, promotional pieces, and program guides.
  • Create engaging social media graphics and campaigns for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms.
  • Develop digital creative such as web graphics, digital advertisements, presentation materials, and online marketing assets.
  • Work directly with clients across the College to manage projects from concept to completion, helping bring their ideas to life.
  • Collaborate with our visual communications team to create graphic elements and visual assets for video and multimedia projects.
