About The Position

Simply Business is a digital insurance brokerage that specializes in protecting the businesses our customers are working hard to build by simplifying the insurance-buying process. We are looking for a creative, execution-driven Graphic Designer to join our growing U.S. Marketing team. In this role, you will be the visual engine behind our digital marketing campaigns, helping to bring the Simply Business brand to life across a variety of digital touchpoints. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role where your creativity directly impacts business growth. Working alongside senior creatives and marketing managers, you will design with a customer-centric lens, dive into performance data, and help us methodically test and optimize our creative across paid media, web, and social channels. Requirements

  • 5-7 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably within an in-house marketing team, digital tech startup, or creative agency environment.
  • A strong digital portfolio showcasing clean composition, modern typography, compelling layouts, and real-world examples of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Mastery of modern collaborative design tools (Figma is our primary canvas) and core Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
  • A strong interest in performance marketing and user data; eager to learn why an ad performed well and use those insights to guide your next design.
  • A proactive self-starter who handles tight deadlines and quick iterations with ease, remaining comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills; someone who takes constructive feedback well and can clearly explain the rationale behind their design choices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or strong interest in designing for B2B audiences or small business consumer segments.
  • Familiarity with the capabilities and layout constraints of CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow (you won’t be coding, but knowing how the web works is a major plus).
  • Advanced motion design, illustration, or basic video editing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute high-quality digital assets for integrated marketing campaigns, including paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn), programmatic ads, email templates, and web graphics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Growth Marketing team to execute creative variations for A/B testing, interpreting performance data and user feedback to continuously optimize and improve asset conversion rates.
  • Tailor visual storytelling to fit the unique requirements and consumer behaviors of different digital platforms, ensuring maximum engagement on each specific channel.
  • Utilize motion graphics and basic video editing to create dynamic, engaging content that stops the scroll and tells our brand story effectively.
  • Act as a champion for the Simply Business visual identity, ensuring all marketing touchpoints are cohesive, polished, and strictly aligned with our brand guidelines.
  • Actively build upon and maintain our marketing design system and asset libraries in Figma, keeping components organized and scalable.
  • Work alongside internal UX/UI designers, copywriters, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless visual journey from initial ad click to final on-site conversion.
  • Apply strong typography, visual hierarchy, and responsive design principles to marketing landing pages and web assets.
  • Prepare and package clean design assets for our web development team, collaborating with them to ensure your designs are implemented flawlessly on our content management platforms (like WordPress).
