About The Position

CIBC’s Information Security Awareness and Training team is hiring a Graphic Designer and Animator Co-op. In this role, you’ll be part of a high-performing team of business and communications experts, who collaborate to build a robust security culture for our business partners through inclusive and creative employee communications and engagement strategies. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. This is a 4 or 8 month co-op opportunity.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible.
  • Strong design and video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with design/video software, like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Rush, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, and other video/animation tools.
  • Ability to convey ideas and information through engaging graphic formats and visual representation.
  • Creative, curious, and enjoy working in a team to visualize and design new processes or techniques to increase employee engagement or communicate ideas.
  • Enjoy being presented with problems or issues and working with a team to find innovative solutions.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize competing priorities to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Must be legally eligible to work at the location(s) specified and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit.

  • You do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

Responsibilities

  • Help to educate employees about cybersecurity risks and best practices, by creating rich media (e.g., graphic design, videos) to be used in engaging social media posts, intranet materials, and training content (e.g., presentations).
  • Planning and execution of communication materials, security awareness training, and employee engagement initiatives (e.g., Cybersecurity Awareness Month).
  • Use creative thinking skills to develop innovative and new solutions to engage CIBC employees via our Information Security Awareness and Training Program.
