About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Graphic Design Specialist to join our Visualization Team based in Meridian, ID. This is an opportunity to be involved in professional services projects with our Power & Energy Team on a national level and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. We are an in-house visual communications creative team supporting future-focused projects that are shaping communities. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of industry experience in graphic design and related professional services
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in art, multimedia, graphic design, or related field
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro
  • Understanding of lighting, composition, color, and perspective
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Earth KMZ and tile manipulation
  • Experience working directly with clients and project stakeholders to deliver quality solutions
  • Experience with the design process and quality control critiques

Responsibilities

  • Development of Graphic Design deliverables including: Print materials – i.e. Presentation displays, fact sheets, and simulation boards; Digital materials – i.e. Presentation design, infographics, and document design; Website design materials – i.e. Page layout design, UI elements, and mobile design; Video production materials – i.e. Motion graphics, footage editing, and color grading
  • Consultation, development and clarification of complex, controversial and difficult to describe projects
  • Pursuit of professional development to stay current with visualization technology and development of new communication tools
  • Experience self-managing tasks/projects and working within a scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
