Graphic Design Specialist
About The Position
Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to join its Marketing and Media Relations team. This role will support College campaigns and promotions by creating promotional and recruitment literature and print materials. The specialist will work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing and Media Relations and other team members to promote the College's brand and engage prospective students and the community. PVCC is a public, open-access institution located in Charlottesville, Virginia, serving the City of Charlottesville and surrounding counties.
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite, five hours per day, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Design literature and print materials for general and program-related marketing campaigns, student recruitment and marketing outreach.
- Create print and digital ads, posters, flyers, postcards, rack cards, fact sheets, print publications, multimedia/video, closed-circuit TV, and web design and social media platforms.
- Prepare publications and projects for prepress/printing.
- Maintain active knowledge of industry standards and the latest graphic design trends and technologies, especially as related to community colleges and higher education.
- Maintain the PVCC brand.
- Participate in team meetings and all-college events.
- Assist with designing creative content for internal displays and presentation materials (PPT) as requested.
