About The Position

We are seeking a creative, self-motivated individual who wants to join our “sweet team” of other talented creators to help elevate our brands to the next level. If your passion and talents abound when it comes to creativity, photography, graphic design and social content - we want to meet you! As a member of our team, we will look to your skills to bring our delicious candy brands to life in the most fun, creative ways. Please submit a letter about why you would like to join our team, along a portfolio of your work when applying. This will be a hybrid role with weekly travel to the corporate location in La Porte, Indiana. Responsibilities primarily include creating graphics, photography, and video-based content for various projects across our brands. If you have previous experience with photography, design, and social media, please include that in your portfolio.

Requirements

  • Strong in digital photography, DSLR Cameras, and professional lighting equipment
  • Proficiency with Apple products, such as MacBook’s, iPhones, and iPads
  • Proficiency with both Vector and Raster design formats
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically: Photoshop Illustrator Lightroom After Effects Adobe Stock Adobe Express Adobe Firefly Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency with the additional programs/apps: Procreate or Adobe Fresco
  • The Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience creating graphics for both digital and print media
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict brand guidelines
  • Understanding of file types, sizes, dpi, CMYK/RGB, and Pantone Colorbooks
  • Familiarity and understanding of social algorithms and trends
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate design-related concepts to individuals unfamiliar with the field
  • Ability to accept critique and make appropriate changes to projects according to feedback
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and brainstorm creative concepts to develop compelling campaigns
  • Ability to be self-sufficient while handling multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to changes
  • Eager to experiment and try new things
  • Able to provide a design portfolio
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years' experience creating assets for print and digital use
  • Bachelor's degree in or working in related field
  • Experience with Packaging / Product Design
  • Familiarity with digital printing, plate printing, and/or corrugate printing
  • Familiarity with Dyeline and Template use
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms
  • Experience with any of the following programs: Adobe InDesign Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Stock Klaviyo Workfront Proof SharePoint / Microsoft OneDrive Smartsheet Shortstack
