About The Position

BrightKey is seeking an experienced Graphic Design & Printing Specialist in the Washington, DC area! The Graphic Design & Printing Specialist supports a large organization by delivering high-quality visual design and print production services. This role combines creative design expertise with hands-on operation of high-volume print and copy equipment. The specialist will create and maintain a wide range of visual materials—from print collateral and signage to web graphics—while ensuring production quality, brand consistency, and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience, including advanced use of Adobe Photoshop for creating and editing graphics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including: Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Acrobat
  • Experience operating high-volume print and copy equipment in a production or print shop environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years or related experience
  • Must be able to obtain a DOJ Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required
  • Candidates must have or be able to obtain a SECURITY CLEARANCE (Public Trust)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Access Database and Dreamweaver in preferred.
  • Degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce visual materials including training guides, office signage, presentations, reports, and interactive exhibits.
  • Create and edit graphics for digital platforms, including webpages and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate concepts and requirements into effective visual solutions.
  • Ensure brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and visual consistency across all materials.
  • Prepare final files for both print and digital distribution.
  • Converting print materials to Web-ready formatting
  • Operate and maintain high-volume print and copy machinery.
  • Manage print jobs from intake through finishing (e.g., binding, cutting, tabbing, and packaging).
  • Monitor print quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate service when needed.
  • Maintain inventory of paper, toner, and print supplies.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple production requests to meet deadlines.
