About The Position

The Graphic Designer creates engaging visual content that supports Grand River Hospital District's mission, services, and community presence. Working closely with the Integrated Marketing Manager, this role develops creative materials across multiple platforms while ensuring consistency with the organization's brand standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and can manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in current graphic design software and multimedia editing tools used to create print, digital, and video content.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, branding, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with departments throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing deadlines and adapting to changing needs.
  • Experience developing content for a variety of media, including advertising, email marketing, websites, social media, and promotional materials.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce print and digital materials, including advertisements, signage, brochures, email campaigns, and other promotional pieces.
  • Create and edit multimedia content by combining graphics, photography, video, animation, sound, and text into compelling visual communications.
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to develop branded informational and instructional materials that meet operational needs.
  • Support website updates and digital initiatives to enhance the organization's online presence and user experience.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, direct mail projects, and special events.
  • Provide occasional evening and weekend support for community events, outreach activities, and other assigned projects.
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Pay Range: $27.79 - $34.71/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends, and other incentive pay available.
