About The Position

This role supports marketing functions across all offices, including market sector and business unit marketing for new and existing clients. The Graphic Design Specialist collaborates with other marketing professionals and internal partners to create visually compelling graphics and documents that represent the brand. This position conceptualizes graphic design ideas and content, working with the marketing director and others, and translates concepts from text into graphics that tell a story and support pursuit and proposal efforts. The specialist will create and strengthen brand awareness, conduct and coordinate printer proofs and quality checks, and correspond with vendors. They will use graphics to enhance key messages and communicate strategy, conduct research, interviews, and collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging visuals, and create and collaborate on document layouts and templates. The role also involves participating in outside professional organizations that support the design specialist position, photographing internal/external events and projects as needed, performing videography and video editing as needed, and supporting corporate awards programs. Adherence to brand guidelines and ensuring brand standards are met and consistent across all marketing and proposal materials is crucial. The specialist will develop content for social media and other external publications, coordinate, support, and attend marketing-related events, trade shows, and client engagements, including coordinating relevant materials and promo items. A mindset of continuous learning and improvement is expected, along with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Fostering a positive reputation in the industry by building relationships and identifying project opportunities aligned with strategic plans and goals is also part of the role. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication preferred
  • 4+ years of experience (AEC marketing preferred)
  • Portfolio Required
  • Intermediate knowledge of creative and design software, Adobe Suite preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Hootsuite and WordPress preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint required)
  • Verifiable work references
  • Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens
  • All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time.
  • In person, regular attendance required
