Graphic Design Intern - Summer 2027
About The Position
As a Graphic Design Intern at Munich Re, you will be a valued member of the team, working on meaningful projects that support business and clients. This internship program offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, connect with senior leaders, and gain hands-on experience. Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization supporting Munich Re's US Property and Casualty companies. This role is based in Amelia, Ohio. The intern will contribute to impactful projects supporting business objectives and brand visibility, including designing creative marketing materials, presenting ideas, and coordinating with internal and external partners. This role provides portfolio-building experience, mentorship, and insight into the creative operations of a global insurance leader.
Requirements
- Preferred Majors: Graphic Design
- Grade Level: rising undergraduate Senior
- An online-viewable portfolio is a must for consideration.
- Adobe software experience is a necessity and mandatory; Adobe Creative Suite software, such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat; experience with After Effects or Premiere Pro a plus.
- Strong foundation in print and digital design; print production experience is a plus.
- Ability to translate marketing objectives into clear creative concepts.
- Professional collaboration, organization, and attention to production detail.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to meaningful projects
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring employer sponsorship. Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Design and produce digital and printed marketing materials.
- Support front-end email design.
- Consult with various teams to understand objectives and present creative concepts.
- Bring new ideas, stay current on design trends, and serve as a creative partner.
- Learn how to coordinate production, including managing internal document center, work with digital team and occasional agencies or freelancers.
