About The Position
Platt College Los Angeles is seeking a Graphic Design Instructor to provide quality instruction to students, meeting program and course objectives. The instructor will maintain an organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning, imparting the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to students. Platt College offers certificate and degree programs in various fields, including graphic design, and is dedicated to providing students with the specialized knowledge and skills needed for in-demand career opportunities.
Requirements
- A minimum of an AA/AS degree in a related subject area from an accredited college (Associates level instructors) OR a minimum of a BA/BS degree in a related subject area from an accredited college (Bachelors level instructors).
- 4 or more years of experience in a related field.
- Depending on the courses taught, must be familiar with all aspects of 3D Modeling and rendering, illustration, video editing, Adobe Suite, photography and lighting, marketing and social media, and life drawing skills.
- Experience with Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Adobe CC required i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, and Lightroom Classic.
- Understanding of education environments including needs of adult learners.
- Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled.
- Motivation, dedication and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Good Organization and Communication Skills.

- Transcripts must include degree awarded and confer date.
