A Graphic Artist II performs graphic arts and design work. The work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. The incumbent should be able to create print collateral (brochures, flyers, postcards, posters, banners, logos, PowerPoint presentations, press kits) and digital media materials (social media graphics, website banners, public presentation decks, email newsletters). The employee will assist the Communications team with public messaging assignments, social media and website updates, and media inquiries as needed. Skills of Adobe Creative Cloud, digital mapping tools, GIS exports, PowerPoint, basic animation/motion design, and Canva needed and knowledge of Drupal 10 and social media software such as Buffer is a plus. Employee should be willing to work irregular hours, extended shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays on short notice.
