About The Position

Mel Trotter Ministries is a faith-based, nonprofit organization committed to providing safe shelter and supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. As Grants Manager, you’ll help fuel Mel Trotter Ministries’ mission by guiding our grant strategy from proposal to closeout—so programs stay funded, compliant, and outcome-driven.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, Communications, Social Work, Human Services, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 3–5 years of successful grant writing experience
• Experience managing multiple grant-funded projects; nonprofit experience preferred
• Background in homelessness, housing, behavioral health, or human services strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Write, submit, and track grant proposals, reports, and renewals
• Manage grant compliance, documentation, deadlines, and audits
• Coordinate with internal teams to align budgets, narratives, and measurable outcomes
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, foundations, corporations, and community partners
• Monitor grant performance and support continuous improvement
