About The Position

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven Grants Coordinator to oversee the Donor Advised Fund (DAF) grant process from start to finish. As the primary point of contact for DAF fundholders and nonprofit grantee partners, you'll guide grant requests through every stage of the process, ensuring an efficient, accurate, and positive experience. This role does not make competitive grant award decisions and is focused on customer service, process accuracy, relationship management, compliance, and administrative coordination. Requirements

  • 3+ years of administrative support, customer service, nonprofit operations, financial services, donor services, or related experience.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Deep commitment to accuracy and quality of work.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy, community-facing office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of donor-advised grant requests.
  • Serve as a responsive resource for donors and nonprofit partners.
  • Review, process, and track grants while ensuring compliance with Foundation policies and procedures.
  • Conduct due diligence and maintain accurate grant records.
  • Communicate proactively regarding grant status, timelines, and next steps.
  • Prepare grant payments, confirmations, and related correspondence.
  • Document interactions and grant activity within the Foundation's CRM system.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Foundation to ensure exceptional service and timely grant processing.
  • Resolve issues and inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
