About The Position

GAAMHA is seeking a Grants Coordinator to help secure and sustain funding for its community support programs. This role involves researching funding opportunities, developing and submitting proposals, managing deadlines, coordinating reporting and billing, and ensuring compliance with funder requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, a curious mindset, and a commitment to GAAMHA's mission of helping people live fuller, more connected lives with dignity. GAAMHA aims to redefine community support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, those in substance use recovery, and those needing accessible transportation.

Requirements

  • Professional writing experience with demonstrated ability to produce clear, persuasive written work.
  • Experience with grant writing, proposal development, grant administration, nonprofit development, or a closely related function.
  • Strong research, editing, proofreading, organizational, and project-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and firm deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Comfort learning and using grant portals, CRM systems, AI tools, and other technology.
  • Curiosity and openness to learning, and comfort joining an organization that sees responsible technology use as part of how we continue redefining community support.

Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate government, foundation, corporate, and other funding opportunities.
  • Maintain GAAMHA's grant pipeline, calendar, deadlines, and records.
  • Lead the development and submission of grant proposals, applications, letters of inquiry, and supporting materials.
  • Work with Program Directors, Finance, leadership, and other colleagues to gather program information, outcomes, budgets, and documentation.
  • Coordinate grant reporting, renewals, compliance requirements, closeouts, billing, and reimbursement submissions.
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready grant files and documentation.
  • Keep colleagues informed about upcoming deadlines, information needs, potential challenges, and next steps.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, sponsorships, and development events as needed, including day-of event support.
  • Contribute to the overall work of GAAMHA's Communications & Development team.
